The shortest route from A-B is always…

1-2-3… and that’s a wrap

There were few places to hide in the poor market performance of 2018

The shortest route from A-B is always… a straight line. If you’re looking at a map, this is certainly true, but if you hop in your car or book an Uber you will soon realize that this is not the case.

This is also true to life. When we map out our goals and dreams, the line looks fairly straight, but as we step out into the day-to-day journey of achieving those goals, the shortest route is not straight, and sometimes we encounter roadblocks, traffic, faulty mechanics and inconsiderate drivers. We have to navigate these difficulties, or abandon the journey.

In life, the second option is one we want to avoid! So, how do we navigate?

It helps to slow down so that we can choose alternative routes to the same destination. We also need to be willing to change timelines so that our expectations are more appropriate to the new circumstances and we can then enjoy the journey. If you are feeling rushed, you are more likely to make mistakes and overlook the amazing opportunities that weren’t there before.

However your January began (and your 2019…), perhaps this outlook will help you. If not today, in the coming months for sure!

If you are needing a cuppa courage, then let’s get in touch.

Best regards
